An Atmosphere of Genuine Caring and Concern
Individual Therapy
Do you feel good about yourself? Are you struggling with single parenting? Do you date the wrong type of person, ending in broken relationships? Perhaps the stress of balancing a wide range of roles in your life has become stressful. When life's daily problems seem to accumulate or you are facing an important crossroads, let us help you resolve your concerns, restore hope, and regain joy in your life.
Relationship Counseling
Do you feel that your partner values and appreciates you? Or are you battling each other often? Does your significant other struggle with commitment to the relationship? At New Day Counseling Center, Inc., PC, learn communication skills that will last a lifetime. Develop conflict resolution tools to give your marriage the resources to overcome obstacles. Establish a commitment that can endure challenges. We will help you both identify areas that need to be changed or improved, develop a much healthier relationship with a renewed commitment, reaching a set of shared values, and more open, honest and respectful communication with each other.
Family Counseling
Is there harmony and peace in your home? Do you have a longstanding family problem that needs to be resolved? Are family interactions tense? Adjusting to a new life for families of divorce or remarriage is a transition. Often children act out behaviorally or emotionally, or express intermittent anger as a result of difficulty adjusting to parental arguments, separation, or divorce/remarriage. We specialize in intact families, extended families, stepfamilies, co-parenting, and families in transition or crisis (e.g., divorce, moving, adoption, and trauma). We are skilled in helping families with all types of problems. Our clinically trained therapists support each family member as they learn to share their thoughts, emotions and actions, ultimately creating healthier ones. We are dedicated to the restoration of families.
Child Therapy
If your child is under 5, we will work primarily with you as the parent in family therapy. Often children experience difficult situations such as trouble making friends, divorce of their parents, or adjusting to changes at home or school. Children face daily obstacles such as being bullied, feeling embarrassed, fearing being humiliated, self-doubt, loneliness, and insecurity. We work with children to overcome obstacles, build confidence and establish healthy self-talk. As a parent, you can expect to learn how to manage your child's unwanted behaviors and encourage correct behaviors. Let our professional counselors help you.
Adolescent Therapy
The adolescent years can be a time of vulnerability for teenagers complicated by the desire to establish independence from their parents, which can result in feelings of confusion and discouragement. Does your teen isolate in their room? Is your teen aggressive, verbally or physically? Has your teen's social group or grades drastically changed? Does your teen get along with peers and authority figures? Talking in therapy about what is going on in a teen's life can help them and you understand more fully their thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and behaviors. Being heard is healing. Teens can expect to gain insight, practical tools, as well as strategies to overcome life's challenges. This process can lead to greater self-acceptance, confidence and belief in oneself.
